About Post Falls FOP #42

Our History

Post Falls FOP #42 was founded in 2020 and is made up of police officers and deputies working for the City of Post Falls, the City of Rathdrum, the City of Spirit Lake, the Benewah County Sheriff's Office, and the Coeur d' Alene Tribal Police Department.  In 2024, the St. Joe's River FOP Lodge #44 merged with our lodge, expanding our membership to including deputies and officers at the southern end of Lake Coeur d' Alene.

The Post Falls FOP is not a union; rather, it functions as a fraternal and support organization for law enforcement.  Membership is open to sworn and retired law enforcement officers.

Post Falls FOP #42 is a 501(c)8 fraternal lodge.  Our charitable 501(c)3 arm is the Post Falls FOP Foundation.

Why Join the FOP?

The FOP is the largest and oldest law enforcement organization in America.  When you join the FOP, you join a robust and supportive law enforcement community.  Membership includes enrollment in a legal defense plan, providing you peace of mind if you get involved in a critical incident or get sued in your official capacity.  Your membership also includes a life and disability insurance benefit.  Here in Idaho, the FOP engages with state leaders in issues important to law enforcement.  Locally, our lodge provides charitable support to our community through our foundation.  If you wear the badge, you should also have an FOP membership card in your wallet.

Our Leadership

Neil Uhrig is the President of Post Falls FOP #42 and the lodge is governed by its elected executive board.
