Holidays and Heroes is an annual program where local first responders get to take children shopping for gifts for their family, followed by a big event at the Greyhound Park that includes lunch, gift wrapping, crafts, a visit from Santa, and so much more! At the end of the event, children are taken home with gifts, souvenirs from their adventure and two full food boxes with a complete Christmas meal.

We select children, typically elementary-aged, based on potential needs reported from local schools and school resource officers. PD staff contacts a guardian to request permission and gather information about additional needs for the family.

We typically hold a food drive just before the event at a local grocery store, where you can donate non-perishable food items or monetary donations. We typically hold a food drive just before the event at a local grocery store, where you can donate non-perishable food items or monetary donations. You may also send or bring in monetary donations at any time to the Post Falls Police Department, 1717 E Polston Ave, Post Falls or through the link below.
